Dr Kim Tan
Aviation Medical
Our DAMEs
Dr. Kim Tan is a qualified Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). She is able to undertake an aviation medical examination for commercial and private pilot’s license and air traffic controllers out of 2 of our Spartan First locations
She completed the Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine ( ACCAM) course at Monash University and has been practising as a DAME since 2016. During her time at the course, she had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Control Tower, the flight SIM centre and some plane spotting. Prior to this, she has worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Alice Springs as an aeromedical retrieval doctor. Currently she practices office aviation and remains passionate about aviation medicine and aviation as evidenced by her regular flights to Leinster for one of her FIFO jobs and regular overseas travel.
She constantly keeps her knowledge updated with regular avmed conferences and is planning to pursue a postgrad diploma in aviation medicine.
