Des Headland


Des is a passionate business person that is invested in the advancement of this privately owned Indigenous business. Whilst being highly recognised for his AFL sporting history, Des had spent his subsequent years creating, developing and advocating for the Indigenous community. Des is Nyoongar-Yamatji and is an active, social family and community member, maintaining cultural and sporting commitments.

Commencing in Occupational Health within the Exercise Physiology and injury management sector, Heath became one of Spartan First’s founding team members. A diligent manager of our clinic operations, Heath oversees the output of our medical and pre-employment services.

Janelle Campbell-Cooke

Health and Wellbeing Manager

Janelle has 20 years’ experience working as a Psychologist across government and non-government sectors, supporting individuals improve and maintain mental health and wellbeing. Since joining the Spartan First Team, Janelle has utilised her skills to support the socio emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal people through the development of bespoke training programs with Job Actives, Corporate clients, and direct services to individuals.

Anthony Walter

Spartan First Injury Management Manager

Anthony Walter has over 20 years of experience in the Occupational Health and Injury Management Sector. Over the past two decades, Anthony has developed deep technical expertise in Occupational Health, Workers’ Compensation, Injury Management and Allied Health. He works with a team of Occupational Trainer Doctors, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists to provide first-class injury management to injured workers. Anthony’s passion is working with employers and providers to achieve lower injury rates, improve injury-related statistics, and minimise an organisation’s risk profile.
