ABOUT US

Executive Team

Des Headland

CEO/Director

Des is a passionate business person that is invested in the advancement of this privately owned Indigenous business. Whilst being highly recognised for his AFL sporting history, Des had spent his subsequent years creating, developing and advocating for the Indigenous community. Des is Nyoongar-Yamatji and is an active, social family and community member, maintaining cultural and sporting commitments.

Heath Prentice

Operations Manager

B.Sc (ExPhys)
Commencing in Occupational Health within the Exercise Physiology and injury management sector, Heath became one of Spartan First’s founding team members. A diligent manager of our clinic operations, Heath oversees the output of our medical and pre-employment services.

Olivia Tassone

Admin & Client Relations Manager

Olivia is an emerging young business person and a wonderful example of Indigenous youth and leadership. As a founding team member of Spartan First, Olivia has led the administrative team throughout its ongoing growth and is passionate about providing an exceptional services to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Janelle Campbell-Cooke

Health and Wellbeing Manager

BPsych. Grad Dip Ed

Janelle has 20 years’ experience working as a Psychologist across government and non-government sectors, supporting individuals improve and maintain mental health and wellbeing. Since joining the Spartan First Team, Janelle has utilised her skills to support the socio emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal people through the development of bespoke training programs with Job Actives, Corporate clients, and direct services to individuals.

Steph Payne

Regional Operations and Business Development Manager

With over 10 years’ experience within the Occupational Health Sector in the Bunbury and South West Region, Steph brings an extensive range of knowledge and expertise to the team. Steph is passionate about building solid, longstanding relationships with the local clients and companies while also ensuring and maintaining clinical operational excellence in our Regional WA centres.

Anthony Walter

B.Sc (ExPhys), TAE

Having spent the last 18 years working within the Occupational Health and Injury Management Sector, Anthony is the newest Spartan First management team member. Anthony brings multi-facetted technical expertise in musculoskeletal health, occupational health, safety and risk management. Anthony is passionate about maintaining long standing relationships with employers to assist with decreasing injury rates, improving their injury related statistics and minimising the risk profile of the organisation.
